Hi Lynn - I bought The Ontario Table Cookbook the moment I saw it - a year ago, at a winery in Prince Edward County. I love it - it's such an inspiration to use as many Ontario ingredients as you can, and your husband's photography is simply beautiful. Not only a great cookbook, but something I love on the coffee table. Thank you. Carolyn

Hi Lynn We met you at the Springridge event and we have certainly been doing our bit to buy from the farms since then! The 10th Concession market (we live on the 11th) gets the most benefit! Now that is local. I gave a copy of your book to a friend in Spencerville who has since bought several copies to give to her friends! ..and so it goes. Are you in any way available as a speaker? My group is the Retired Women Teachers of Ontario- Burlington. We hold 4-5 luncheons a year and I think your message would be a great topic. About 100 women attend- pretty sure they would all want to buy a cookbook or two! LOL

Hi Bev, Many thanks for the kind comments and yes, I do speak at many groups and organizations. I talk about the benefits of buying local, about The Ontario Table $10 Challenge and the cost to our family, community and economy. Contact me by email through the website and we can chat.

Hey Lynn This is Steve Green from Windsor Ontario. You'll remember me because I won your book and we met at the Winery. I am the General Manager of the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market this year and wanted to invite you down to join us one day, bring your book, and maybe share from the Microphone. Let me know if you are coming my way between June 1 and October 12 2013 and we will have you come hawk your wares at the market and drum up a crowd! Thanks.

Hello Lynn, I am so excited to be an Ambassador for the Food Revolution Day coming up on Friday May 17th. Jamie Oliver started this last year and I hosted a FRD day in Barrie last May. This May myself, Katherine Parent and Kathryn Abel are the Ambassadors. We are having a big day at City Hall in Barrie and would love it if you could join us and participate in promoting REAL FOOD. Please check out our website www.foodrevolutionbarrie.com and feel free to email me for more information. I am a Holistic Nutritionist here in Barrie and really want to spread the word about buying local, eating wholesome foods, learning to cook again. Our event runs from 9:30 to 4:30 and we have vendor tables available, we have a flag raising ceremony, town crier, Frankie Flowers, Napoleon Grills doing a demo, Sprouting demo, local restaurants, Nutrition Plus and many others. Hope to hear from you. Katherine

Hi Katherine, Many thanks for asking me and what a great global initiative for local food! I can't come in person but would love to promote via SM so please feel free to send me the details. In return, perhaps you would consider selling some books - you make $12 per book you sell so it's a great fundraiser that fits with your message. Let me know. Cheers, Lynn

My name is Kate Morrison and I plan adult events for the Turner Park Branch of the Hamilton Public Library. I found you book "The Ontario Table" at Indigo, Stoney Creek. After looking up your website online, I thought you would be wonderful to come and speak here at Turner Park. We have our sessions on Tuesday nights from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. We ask you to speak for an hour and then have 1/2 hour for talking to people who have come to see you. We can't pay but you are more than welcome to bring your cookbooks to sell. Please let me know if you are interested in coming. Thank you, Kate

Hi Lynn We communicated previously about your attending our Local Flavours Local Friends events in Gananoque at the 1000 Islands Playhouse. Our date is September 21st 2013 and we really hope you can bring the $10 Challenge to Eastern Ontario. I met you in Wellington 2 years ago. This event is a fundraiser for our beautiful Playhouse and a popular event pairing local restauranteurs, farmers and the bounty of fresh produce. Cheers! Barb
