At FOOD 101 Wellness Retreat you will experience a diet based on fresh, whole foods and Mediterranean-style. We also cater to carbohydrate addictions and other special diets, please just let us know in advance.
Morning: begins with a mantra and restorative yoga session. Breakfast is served at the community table and afterwards there is free time to take advantage of spa treatments or personalized nutrition counseling before an open-kitchen, cooking lesson from the chef.
Afternoon: begins with a delicious lunch at the community table followed by an afternoon of healthy living education from the way our body works to disease prevention and food education. Savour an afternoon healthy elixir and free time before dinner for personal reflection or getting lost in a good book.
Evening: begins with a delicious dinner at the community table followed by your choice of in-room food documentary or round table discussions with health experts.

FOOD 101, is food information lectures, courses, and retreats that are intended to transform your relationship with food. The information given is historically proven and scientifically based, the programs are flexible enough to make it personal to everyone’s unique set of health circumstances and lifestyle and it has the ability for participants to move at their own pace and design individual plans for wellness.

I thought I ate quite healthily until I chatted to Lynn for the first time. As easy to chat to as a good friend, Lynn and I went through daily choices, tweaking here and there until I had a new plan to work on. As I have many food allergies and intolerances, I was apprehensive about how Lynn would deal with them, but she accepted them as a challenge quite cheerfully.
