Hi. I was just wondering why there isn't any honey listed in the ingredients of the "Honey Garlic Flank Steak Receipe"? Thanks Joy

Hi. Two recipies were published in last week's Niagara Falls Review. They were published on the same page with your story on "A Season for Honey". The recipies were "Honeyed Apple Crisp" and "Honey Garlic Flank Steak". Thanks Joy

Ok, thanks. I also published them on this blog and I know I had it corrected by the time I posted it so wondering where it was still incorrect. You're right it doesn't show any honey. This is one of my family's favourite dishes and I've had it for a long, long time. My mother used sugar and over the years I'm using honey instead, but when I printed the recipe, the substitution that I have done for years - well, I forgot to actually change the recipe. I guess it's one of those things, like brushing your teeth - that you just take for granted - sorry. But thanks for emailing me and thanks for giving me the opportunity to help. I use exactly the same amount of honey instead of sugar - you could use more if you like, but I don't. I hope you like it.
